Martin Davis
Managing Partner, Botswana Tech Fund
Martin is an experienced technology operator and venture investor. He has led and exited software businesses, served as CEO of Kames Capital and Aegon Asset Management (£150bn AUM), and most recently was CEO of FTSE 250–listed Molten Ventures, scaling the fund to £2bn NAV and backing companies such as Revolut, Trustpilot, Ledger, and UiPath. He currently chairs Bethnal Green Ventures and is a GP and founder of EDT Ventures.

Florence Bavanandan
General Partner
Based in London, Florence is the General Partner. She is in charge of the day to day running of the fund and overseeing the team is delivering according to set goals.
Florence is an accredited Executive Coach and Civil & Commercial Mediator. Prior to Botswana Tech Fund, she founded and ran a bespoke consultancy working with businesses to solve problems by optimising their existing teams, previous clients including HSBC and Apple.

Uwemedimo Uwemakpan
Head of Investments
Uwem is the Head of Investments at Botswana Tech Fund. With a decade of experience and understanding of the African startup ecosystem, he is at the forefront of identifying promising ventures and providing invaluable guidance to entrepreneurs as they build their businesses.

Nicolette Chinomona
Botswana Country Manager
Nicolette is Program Manager at the Botswana Tech Fund, where she designs and delivers founder support programs, learning experiences, and ecosystem initiatives that help entrepreneurs grow and build investment-ready businesses.
Nicolette is an entrepreneur development specialist with over 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship education, coaching, event design, and community building. She has worked with organizations including Stanbic Bank Botswana, Creative Business Network, Techstars, and Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub to create bootcamps, workshops, courses, and founder engagement programs that drive meaningful impact.
Nicolette has also served as a judge on "The Game Plan", an entrepreneurship television show. Nicolette holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship from the University of South Africa.

Kamo Motaung
Investment Associate
Kamohelo (“Kamo”) is an Investment associate at Botswana Tech Fund based out of Johannesburg. Prior to joining the team, Kamo gained experience as a Growth Equity, Corporate finance and Impact investing professional having worked for Hlayisani Capital (Growth Equity Fund, ~R350M AUM), Valeo Capital and WIBC (Developmental fund ~R100M AUM). Prior to his investment career he founded a patented consumer electronic business.

Jeffery Akemu
Portfolio Associate
Jeffery is a Portfolio Associate based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Jeffery holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree. Before joining the Botswana Tech Fund, he gained extensive experience in the ecosystem through his role as the Partnership Lead for the African Business Angel Network(ABAN).
